Application Tools — PPE & Dispensing
Proper PPE and dispensing tools are critical for safe and effective chemical application across all ProShine LLC operations.
Trigger Spray Bottles
Used for diluted glass cleaners, Simple Green, Dawn Professional, and JOY multipurpose soap. Color-coded spray bottles help prevent cross-contamination between different chemical types across different areas of a facility.
Chemical-Resistant Gloves
Required PPE when working with Lime Gone, TITAN, COMET, Lysol Bowl Cleaner, and oven cleaners. Heavy-duty nitrile or rubber gloves protect against skin irritation, chemical burns, and absorption of harmful cleaning agents.

PROTECT YOURSELF FIRST
Chemical Handling & PPE
Every ProShine employee who works with chemicals must understand proper handling procedures and use appropriate PPE without exception.
Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
All employees have the right to access SDS for every chemical used on the job. Supervisors must ensure SDS binders are present and accessible at every job site.

Mixing chemicals — especially bleach and ammonia — creates toxic, potentially lethal gas. Never combine cleaning products unless explicitly permitted. When in doubt, ask your supervisor.

PROTECT YOUR BACK
Proper Lifting Techniques & Ergonomics
Back strains and muscle sprains are the most common injuries in the property services industry — and they are almost entirely preventable with proper technique.
Squat Down
Bend at the knees, not the waist. Keep your back straight and lower yourself to the object's level.
Grip Firmly
Get a solid grip on the object before lifting. Use both hands whenever possible.
Lift with Legs
Push up through your legs, keeping your back straight. Never jerk or twist while lifting.
Pivot Feet
To change direction, move your feet never twist your spine while carrying a load.
50 lb. Team Lift Rule
Any item weighing more than 50 lbs requires a two-person team lift. Never attempt to move excessively heavy items alone.
Load Management
Do not overfill trash bags or mop buckets. Keep loads manageable and make more trips if necessary.
Keep It Close
Always carry heavy objects close to your body. Hold loads tight against your torso when moving them.

ProShine LLC | ProShine Property Services LLC management@proshinellc.com | 702-682-2269
HIGH-PRIORITY HAZARD
Slip, Trip & Fall Prevention
Wet floors and cluttered work areas create high-risk environments. Vigilance, signage, and proper footwear are your first line of defense.
Wet Floor Signs
High-visibility signs must be placed before mopping begins and remain until floor is completely dry
Spill Cleanup
Any accidental spills must be cleaned and dried immediately — do not leave a wet surface unattended
Footwear
All field employees must wear closed-toe, slip-resistant shoes at every job site
Cord Management
Vacuum cords and hoses must be kept flat and routed away from high-traffic walkways
Common Hazards to Watch For
  • Freshly mopped tile, hardwood, or linoleum floors
  • Extension cords and vacuum hoses across doorways
  • Cleaning supply carts left in the middle of corridors
  • Cluttered storage areas with items on the floor
  • Outdoor surfaces wet from rain or pressure washing
  • Uneven flooring, loose rugs, or damaged floor surfaces

If you identify a hazard you cannot immediately correct, report it to your supervisor and flag the area until resolved.

ELEVATED WORK HAZARDS
Ladder & Step-Stool Safety
Falls from elevated heights are among the most serious incidents in our industry. Taking an extra minute to set up your ladder correctly can save your life.
Inspect Before Every Use
Check ladders and step-stools for loose rungs, cracks, bent rails, missing non-slip feet, or any visible damage before every use. If damaged, tag it out of service and report to your supervisor.
Secure Proper Placement
Place ladders only on solid, level, stable ground. Never position a ladder on top of a table, bucket, or box. If additional reach is needed, use a taller ladder never improvise.
Maintain Three Points of Contact
Always maintain three points of contact when ascending or descending two hands and one foot, or two feet and one hand. Never carry items in both hands while climbing.
Avoid Overreaching
Keep your belt buckle between the side rails at all times. If you find yourself leaning beyond a comfortable range, climb down and reposition the ladder. Overreaching is a leading cause of falls.

WHEN SOMETHING GOES WRONG
Incident Reporting & Medical Care
Even when every precaution is taken, incidents can still occur. ProShine has clear protocols for reporting, treatment, and recovery. Do not delay reporting — early reporting protects both you and your team.
Immediate Reporting
All injuries, no matter how minor, must be reported to a supervisor within 24 hours. This includes cuts, strains, slips, chemical exposures, and near-misses. Delayed reporting can complicate your care and workers' compensation claim.
Medical Treatment
For all non-life-threatening injuries, employees must visit our designated Occupational Medical Clinic. Do not go to a primary care physician or urgent care not on our approved list. Reserve the ER for absolute emergencies only.
Return to Work Program
ProShine provides modified or light-duty work assignments for employees recovering from a workplace injury. This helps you stay connected to your team, maintain income, and rebuild strength while healing.

⚠️ ProShine strictly prohibits retaliation against any employee who reports a workplace injury or safety concern in good faith. Your health comes first and always.
